I started working for the School District of Manawa in August of 1997, my first teaching job after graduating from UW-Stevens Point! I never thought I would stay in Manawa as long as I have, but I attribute my longevity to the many positions I have held. Throughout my first 17 years, I taught various sections of high school Biology, Chemistry, and Physical Science. In 2010, I added Jr. High science classes to my schedule. I earned a Masters degree in Educational Leadership from Marian University in May 2006 but chose not to move to administration until July of 2013. It was then that I began working as the District curriculum director in addition to teaching. By the 2014-15 school year, I was the full-time curriculum director. I was not done with my career changes, though. In January of 2017, I took over as the District business manager. Though I have changed jobs several times, I have remained in Manawa. Manawa has become home and it is my professional, as well as my personal goal to ensure that the School District of Manawa will prosper now and well into the future.
