The Art Club is a group of enthusiastic young students who wish to learn more about art styles and art history by visiting various art galleries, museums or other artistic venues. Art Club students hold fund-raisers to earn their trip. Art Club also may participate in artistic endeavors beyond the classroom to help with school events, such as face painting, making posters, paint store window fronts, etc.
Art Team - Participation in our Art Team gives serious art students the opportunity to participate in the Visual Arts Classic high school art competition. Students choose a "long-term" project to create in a favored art medium, make a related "on-site" project on the day of competition, display their knowledge of historic and contemporary artists thru a "quiz bowl", and work as a team on a "critical thinking" group project. There are 50+ teams across Wisconsin who participate in the VAC. We are incredibly proud that our students have done so well over the years. This is a wonderful program for art students to enhance their skills and grow as artists.
