Guidance for Daily School Attendance

The CDC has offered a shortened quarantine alternative when mitigation measures such as strict social distancing and limited gathering can be strictly adhered to. The School District will continue to use the practice of a 14-day quarantine. It is the safest way to prevent the spread of asymptomatic COVID-19 in our current model of in-person learning.

• Notify the school if your child is diagnosed with COVID-19
• Notify the school if your child had contact with someone who you know was diagnosed with COVID-19
• Conduct the symptom check each morning and keep students home from school if they are sick. 
• Should your child be tested, make sure to have your child remain home until test results are known. If there are other children in the house, they would also need to stay home until the test results are finalized. If a parent (or anyone in your house) is awaiting test results, all members of the household also need to remain home until test results are finalized.

SDM School Reopening Plan

This slideshow is an overview of the Manawa Board of Education SDM School Reopening Plan. This reopening plan applies to Summer School 2020 that begins August 8, 2020 as well as all the athletic skill/drill experiences that are ongoing in the district. Please contact your building principal or one of the summer school coordinators should you have any questions regarding the plan. Please keep in mind that the plan is fluid and may be adjusted as changing health conditions arise or as county/state orders are issued or modified.
