The family of Carrie Struckert has created a Dream Pool Foundation, a non-profit corporation offering scholarship opportunities.  Dream Pool is offering two $2000 scholarships and three $1000 scholarships to provide assistance to individuals pursuing education in the visual arts.  

Eligibility:  Interested candidates must possess extracurricular accomplishments and inspirational goals. Academically capable students must be enrolled as an Art Major at an accredited institution of higher education located in the United States (This includes Art Therapy Programs).  All applicants must be U.S. citizens.  Recipient will be required to provide evidence of college acceptance before money is awarded.


  1. Visual Arts Program Major including Art Therapy
  2. Evidence of involvement in activities in school or community
  3. Autobiography: Submit a 1-2 page autobiography recognizing your activities, community service awards, reasons for pursuing a degree in the visual arts and how you plan on using your knowledge and skills upon graduation.
  4. 2 Letters of Recommendation (at least on from an art instructor)

The Scholarship award amount will be issued directly to the college or university.  The Dream Pool Foundation does not require that the applicant provide any further financial information but reserves the right to deny scholarship payment to any initially selected recipient who has accepted a full scholarship from another source(s).

AB Nicholas Scholarship Foundation State 4/30/2018 $5000 to $10000

Eligibility Requirements

Before you apply for an Ab Nicholas Scholarship check to see that you meet all of the eligibility requirements:

Athletic Requirements

You must be participating in your high school’s boys or girls basketball program during this (your senior) year either as a player or a manager.

Restriction (4-year program only): student athletes who choose to participate in NCAA Division I, II or III athletics will not be eligible to receive an Ab Nicholas Scholarship due to NCAA regulations.

Financial Requirements

  • The foundation uses your completed Free Application For Student Aid form (FAFSA) to determine financial need.
  • You may also apply for and receive other financial aid.

Educational Requirements

  • You must be a 2018 graduating senior of a Wisconsin high school – public or private.
  • You must attend a University of Wisconsin System school as a full-time student (at least 12 credits), enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year program.
  • To renew your scholarship, you must maintain performance consistent with the original award criteria, including a GPA of 2.0 or better.

  • You must be a bona fide resident of Wisconsin.
  • You will need a unique student ID number for the UW System school(s) you are applying to.
  • You will need a completed FAFSA form on file (Free Application For Student Aid) for your application to be considered.

The Ab Nicholas Scholarship Foundation seeks to make a college degree affordable for Wisconsin high school students who participate as players or managers in their school’s basketball program. Need-based scholarships, renewable annually, are offered for two- and four-year programs at any University of Wisconsin System school.  $5000 for a two-year program and $10,000 for a four-year program, renewable each year.

Albert Nicholas, founder and chairman of the Nicholas Company, Inc., the Milwaukee-based investment advisory firm that manages the Nicholas mutual funds, established our foundation 2012.  He received an athletic scholarship to the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he earned a bachelor's degree in economics and, later, an MBA in finance and investments.  He believes his UW education has been instrumental in his success on and off the court.

CWEC Electric Utility Worker Scholarship State 5/4/2018 $1000

Scholarship Application Guidelines:

  • Any applicant enrolling in a utility worker program or any applicant who can prove they are on a waiting list for the next open enrollment period. Preference will be given to CWEC members.
  • Student must have, at the time of application, a 2.5 grade point average and maintain a 2.5 grade point average during their first term of college.
  • No student shall be excluded for race, creed, color, sex or national origin.
  • Applicant must be enrolling in a program leading to certificate to work in the electrical utility worker field.
  • Dependents of employees and directors are not eligible to participate in this scholarship program.

One $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to an applicant pursuing a post-secondary education in an electric utility worker program.

The scholarship committee will evaluate all applications.  The selection will be based upon the application, the essay questions, and the ability of the student to maintain a 2.5 grade point average during their first term of college.

Hammett, Bellin & Oswald LLC Scholarship State 5/31/2018 $750

Hammett, Bellin & Oswald, LLC are pleased to offer the Hammett, Bellin & Oswald Law & Justice Scholarship. This Scholarship is open to all first year freshman who will be attending an accredited College or University during the 2018-2019 school year. Special consideration will be given to a student who is interested in pursuing a career in law and meets the requirements. 


  • Applicant must be enrolled in and plan to attend a Wisconsin college/university during 2018-2019 school year.
  • Must have a minimum G.P.A. of 3.0.
  • Proof of enrollment to an accredited college/university.
  • Applicant must submit a copy of unofficial transcript.
  • Completed application must be submitted online by May 31, 2018. LATE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
  • Although not required, applicants are encouraged to submit recommendation letters and/or resumes to substantiate their application.
